MAC-NanoTech is a water-repellent surface coating that reduces the adhesion of dirt, protects surfaces from bacteria and viruses, eliminates air pollutants, thanks to the effect of light.

Its sanitizing action takes place both in the presence of light (due to the photocatalytic effect) and in the dark, thanks to its non-stick property which prevents the adhesion of bacteria and viruses.

The presence of nanoparticles in the coating guarantees immediately a sanitizing effect, renewed every time the surface is cleaned, for the entire life duration of the coating.

MAC-NanoTech does not require the use of specific detergents.

Does not contain metal nanoparticles or biocides.

MAC-NanoTech can be applied on large surfaces such as: marquees, tensile structures, gazebos, truck tarpaulins, etc., which become effective "air purifiers", thanks to its action of eliminating pollutants activated by sunlight.

MAC-NanoTech contains highly oxidizing nano particles which give antiviral activity to treated surfaces (tested according to the ISO 21702:2019 standard with SARS-CoV-2 human virus, at the Department of Biomedical, Surgical and Dental Sciences, of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan - ITALY).

Antibacterial tests, performed according to the ASTM E2180-18 standard, have shown an efficacy of more than 99.999% in reducing the bacterial number.

MAC-NanoTech does not release harmful substances to human health or to the environment. (MOCA migration test performed at Chemica Lab in Modena - ITALY), once in contact with water vapour or stagnant water present inside the air ducts or other systems of the Air Handling Units.

MAC-NanoTech does not release Volatile Organic Compounds, as demonstrated by certified laboratory tests (VOC test performed at Chemica Lab in Modena - ITALY).

The reduction of polluting substances present in the air takes place in the presence of light and humidity, by photocatalytic effect, thanks to the action of MAC-NanoTech: the light absorbed by the nanoparticles present inside the coating generates components which bind with the molecules of pollutants, transforming them into substances that are not harmful to the environment.

Tests performed at the laboratory of the Colorobbia Research Center (Ce. Ri. Col), have shown that MAC-NanoTech reduces the gaseous NOx molecule by 40% (Evaluation of Photocatalytic Efficacy Through Nitrogen Oxide Degradation).     These gas molecules represent a part of the pollutants present in the air, caused by combustion of fossil fuels (from car engines, home heating, etc.).

It is possible to estimate that 1 square meter of surface covered with MAC-NanoTech exposed to sunlight is able to reduce NOx gases in a way comparable to 100 square meters of surface of forest.

Storage and shelf life

MAC-NanoTech must be stored in the original packaging in a dry and cool place (with a temperature not higher than 25°C and not lower than 5°C). In this way the product can be stored for 12 months.

Usage tips

MAC-NanoTech is ready to use (do not dilute with solvents or other liquid substances).


  • DO NOT apply in windy conditions
  • DO NOT apply if the surface is damp or wet (the dew point must NOT be on the surface to be treated)
  • DO NOT apply on surfaces that are too hot or exposed to the sun, to prevent the solvent from evaporating too quickly and creating unwanted accumulations of product.
  • Environmental conditions: temperatures between 5°C and 30°C, and relative humidity not exceeding 80%.


Before applying the product, shake the package well.

MAC-NanoTech can be applied by nebulization with a spray gun directly on the surfaces or even manually with a microfiber cloth.

ACTIVATION TIMES: MAC-NanoTech crosslinks and forms an ultra-thin and transparent coating, active within 4 hours from the application.    Its water-repellent protective action is optimal one/two days after application.

YIELD: MAC-NanoTech has a yield of 100m2 for each 1kg of product.

MAC-NanoTech does not contain standard organic solvents but silane-based solvents.
