REGEOSS: RECOVERY OF GEOTHERMAL SILICA FOR SUSTAINABLE MULTI-PRODUCTIONS

The European project REGEOSS: RECOVERY OF GEOTHERMAL SILICA FOR SUSTAINABLE MULTI-PRODUCTIONS, on EUREKA-Eurostars CoD3 call, has been APPROVED. The participants are: CNR.ISSMC, TEC STAR Srl, Demetra Italia Srl and Geosilica Iceland Hf.

The aim of REGEOSS project, is the development of innovative products derived from the use of "natural" colloidal silica, recovered from the residual fluids of Icelandic geothermal power plants.
In particular:
- Food supplements with highly bioavailable silica;
- Concentrated silica nanofluids for industry;
- Abiotic biostimulants for agriculture.

Eurostars is a program based on the art. 185 (ex 169) aimed at supporting the industrial research of small and medium-sized European enterprises with their own research capabilities.
It was conceived, defined and strongly supported by the EUREKA initiative
